At The Applied Behavior Academy, our credentialing specialist brings extensive experience navigating insurance panels, CAQH, NPIs, and payer requirements. Known for being thorough, attentive, and proactive, he ensures every application is completed correctly and followed up on every two weeks until approval. With ABAcademy, you’ll always know where you stand and have a trusted partner making the credentialing process as smooth as possible. How it works is simple: We start with a free initial consultation to review your goals, insurers, and needs. Next, you’ll submit your required pre-application documents — such as your license, resume, and W-9 — within 14 days. Critical note: if documents are not provided within this timeline, insurers may cancel applications, requiring re-submission at full cost to the client. A 50% deposit is then required before work begins on NPI, CAQH, and insurance credentialing applications. From there, your applications are submitted with biweekly follow-ups included at no extra cost. Once approvals are finalized, your balance is due, and you’re ready to begin billing insurers. Services offered include: * CAQH + NPI Setup ($50) – Essential for insurance claims and credentialing databases. Incorrect setup can suspend applications for months. Timeline: 1–2 weeks. * Insurance Credentialing ($165 per payer, $140 each for 3+) – Connects you to insurance networks so you can bill and get paid. Medicaid & Magellan remain $165. Timeline: 60–120 days. * Authorizations ($55 each) – Required before sessions begin; without them, payment can be denied. Timeline: 1–2 weeks after credentialing approval. * Single Case Agreements ($125) – Allows you to serve clients out-of-network when no in-network options exist, often with negotiable rates. Timeline: 2–6 weeks. * EFT Setup ($50) – Ensures payments go directly to your bank account, avoiding delays. Timeline: 1–2 weeks. * ERA/EOD Add-On ($25) – Provides itemized claim and payment breakdowns to help identify and correct errors. Timeline: 1–2 weeks, often paired with EFT. Deadlines & Expectations: Pre-application documents must be provided within 14 days of request. Missing deadlines may result in cancellations and re-submission fees.
